Critiques

Sitting upon the desk  waiting for that night.   
The night for excitement  and usefulness, happiness.  When will not be called  ugly, the night the mask  will shine.   
But when the time has came  no one picked it up.   
Watching her bump  
the desk and leave.  Then the mask fell,  fell to its death.

Given the brevity of this piece, there isn't much for me to constructively critique on. But I'll offer what feedback I can. ...

VIEW CRITIQUE
An old piano plays  a forgotten song  and dance gowns swirl  into an endless dance.  A haunted lonely house  came to life tonight,  it's filled with light  and with flushed cheeks,  hidden from my sight.  I sway with him,  my vampire prince;  I ask, he listens,  not a word  will sweep his smile  as he sweeps me  off my feet.

VIEW CRITIQUE
It was a cool, crisp day in the town of Pumpkin Grove and the air was laced with magic. Of course that was normal since most of the residents of the town were supernatural. Plus it was Halloween, one of the days when the inherent magic was strongest.   
But there was one witch by the name of Kristiana who was far from happy. She was twelve years old with bouncy blonde curls and blue eyes. Eyes that were laced with tears as she sat by herself in the park.   
Her parents were both superior mages and as their daughter Kristy should have control of her own magic and by now. But she continued to botch spells and ruin potions. &

VIEW CRITIQUE
  I woke up in a room with no windows, and a door on the far side.  It looked like a cellar door.  The room was small, claustrophobic, and smelled odd.  The floor was plain old dirt.  I didn’t know how I had gotten there, but if I’d known that morning what was going to happen….I would have run away so I wouldn’t have to face it.  So that it wouldn’t have happened…..or at least I wouldn’t have seen it.   I know that’s selfish of me, but I could never stand the sight of blood, and definitely not hers.     &

So we set up a poll sometime last month about releasing a news feature showcasing our members' lovely deviations. Many supported the prospect, and now we're going to offer you something different than the usual November prompts.

So to all of our club members, send in one literature deviation you consider your best in your gallery, prose or poetry in a private note or in this journal. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is (keep it tasteful though) or if you choose to write a new piece specifically for this opportunity. *Letters-Words-Write will critique the piece and include it in a massive news feature. For those of you with premium memberships, please leave the critique feature on. We'll be selecting forty deviants to feature in our first issue. Be assured that it won't be our last.

Additionally, we'd like for you to include a brief synopsis on what your chosen deviation means to you to include in the news feature.

There's a lot of undiscovered talent out there and we at *Letters-Words-Write want to give you a chance to showcase your work to the larger writing community.

In order to join our group, devwatch us before sending a note under the subject "Joining." We would prefer if you include a sentence in your note as to whether you dabble in prose or poetry and if possible, the genre of your inclination.

:star: Submitting Literature :star:
Send a note titled "Submission" with a link to the deviation and what prompt it belongs to. You don't have to be a member to participate in our monthly prompts. But, you won't be eligible for our mystery contests nor will you be featured in our journal. Submissions must be written for the prompt.

I'd just like to emphasize that the purpose of our critiques is to offer you some constructive feedback on your prose work. We all have room for improvement, and it's a grand thing to discover what your writing progress from passable, to better, to Daily Deviation worthy.

Unfortunately, we do not hand free critiques on unrelated deviations. There are clubs that specialize in this, particularly =Hauos.

If you're interested in our feedback for literature pertaining to our prompts, please follow the membership guidelines in our journal.

Try including the html tag < sub >, all together without spaces before typing in the text your want to shrink.

Like so: Sometimes it's difficult to read this small.
