News Feature -(updated entries)

The News Feature will be released in December to give our members more time to submit their entries. Here's the list we have so far:

Many supported the prospect, and now we're going to offer you something different than the usual November prompts.
So to all of our club members, send in one literature deviation you consider your best in your gallery, prose or poetry in a private note or in this journal. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is (keep it tasteful though) or if you choose to write a new piece specifically for this opportunity. Letters-Words-Write will critique the piece and include it in a massive news feature. For those of you with premium memberships, please leave the critique feature on. We'll be selecting forty deviants to feature in our first issue. Be assured that it won't be our last.
Additionally, we'd like for you to include a brief synopsis on what your chosen deviation means to you to include in the news feature.
There's a lot of undiscovered talent out there and we at Letters-Words-Write want to give you a chance to showcase your work to the larger writing community.

Critiques I'd just like to emphasize that the purpose of our critiques is to offer you some constructive feedback on your prose work. We all have room for improvement, and it's a grand thing to discover what your writing progress from passable, to better, to Daily Deviation worthy.

Sorry for the delay. We were waiting for our last September submission and now we're ready to issue out new, Halloween themed prompts for October!
Prose: under 1000 words
Romance
A girl meets a boy on Halloween night who may not be entirely human.
Science Fiction
It's the crew's first Halloween celebration on a different planet. Something goes wrong.
Poetry
Write a poem that incorporates one or all of the following:
An old book. A discarded Halloween mask. An abandoned house.
For all those with premium memberships, be sure to include the critique feature in your submissions. Although we comment on all of our submissions, the critique feature allows us to provide a more in depth analysis of your work.

As you may have guessed, we're going to be changing things up. This group is under completely different management, so we won't be doing the same things the old club did (sorry to all you fans). We hope you like our new direction.
Four monthly prompts will be held in two categories, prose and poetry. The genres will vary and cycle between: humorous, literary, experimental, dark/horror, mystery, spiritual, and science fiction. Genre types are open to suggestion for members.
Letters-words-write will be working in close partnership with Book Reviews, wherein we post up our recommended reading list to our members, and Book Reviews will have corresponding reviews available to you.
Surprise contests will be routinely held and a group of randomly selected members will be invited to participate. On every new surprise contest, we'll randomly invite another set of members to submit their work. We can't get into the prizes just yet, but we're excited about it!
All members will be invited to vote on which deviations should be into the group's "Best of..." collections at the end of the year. These collections will be divided into the many genres we have available to you throughout the year.
Our members' deviations will be regularly featured on a biweekly basis depending on the quality of the work. Active members who critique, submit and comment will be featured for a period of a month in our journal.

Prose Admin- position slated for
Staff Poetry Reader- under the direction of our Poetry Admin, the staff poetry reader will share the responsibility of attending to our poetry submissions with comments and critiques. Staff readers are invited to suggest featured deviations or deviants to their respective admins.

Resurgam- a note from the new admin

Letters-words-write is back. It'll take a little time to get things starting, but we're optimistic about the future direction of this group.
There are still many writers out there who remain unrecognised in deviantART. This is due largely in part to the sheer number of deviants we have, and it's growing everyday.
Several, notable projects are currently under way to mitigate the low visibility of dA's literature community: Daily Literature Deviations, the Lit List, active prose/poetry clubs, literature contests and collaborations.
So, Letters-words-write intends to take a part in this change. We can't give you any specifics as of yet, but we'll be sure to tell you the minute we can. If you have any suggestions of what you'd like to see, don't hesitate to mention it. If you have a suggestion or would like to volunteer in this project, write to us.
We have some ideas. We're excited. We hope you are too.
